WWII Imperial Japanese Navy Type 93 No. 2 Gas Mask Carrying Case Original
This is an original WWII-era Imperial Japanese Navy carrying case for the Type 93 No. Important: The gas mask itself is NOT included. This listing is for the original carrying/storage case only. One of the most interesting features is the original instruction sheet attached inside the lid, titled Instructions for the Type 93 No. 2 Gas Mask, Type 4. Its survival inside the original case makes this a particularly interesting historical reference piece. The Type 93 gas mask was protective equipment used by the Imperial Japanese Navy. Such equipment was intended not only as protection against chemical warfare agents, but also for hazardous conditions that could occur aboard warships and at naval installations, including smoke and potentially harmful fumes resulting from fires, explosions, shelling, or bombing. This case was specifically designed for the storage and transportation of that protective equipment. It is constructed as a sturdy military carrying case and still retains internal fabric straps. The original Japanese instruction sheet remains attached to the inside of the lid. While Japanese Army equipment survives in relatively large quantities, original Imperial Japanese Navy equipment is generally encountered less frequently. Specialized accessories such as dedicated gas-mask cases are also often separated from their original equipment over the decades. For collectors of Japanese naval militaria, the surviving original instruction sheet is an especially attractive feature. The case shows significant age and service wear, including paint loss, scratches, surface rust, staining, and general deterioration consistent with an approximately 90-year-old military item. The instruction sheet also shows age-related wear. Gas mask, filter canister, and other equipment are NOT included. Only the carrying case shown in the photographs is included. An interesting original piece for collectors of Imperial Japanese Navy equipment, WWII Japanese militaria, naval equipment, and historical military artifacts. International Buyers – Please Note.

NOTE: I have recently acquired a literal treasure trove of WW1 and WW2 military items and will be listing them in the coming months. All of the items were destined for the landfill, until my sister in law rescued them! This is an authentic, original 8×10 silver gelatin print captured by renowned Tacoma photographer Marvin D. Boland on June 18, 1930. The image depicts the Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) of Company I, 161st Infantry, posing in their encampment at Camp Murray, Washington. These men were participating in the annual two-week summer maneuvers, a massive state-wide event involving 2,600 personnel known as Camp Dent. Authenticity: The reverse of the photo features Boland’s original studio stamp 404 South 11th St, Tacoma, Wash. Physical State: The print is in? Very Good vintage condition for its age. There is a tear near the right hand corner (pictured) there are some visible creases. If you require further pictures or have any questions please ask. Will be well packed before being sent. If you have any questions, please ask! Visit my store for more vintage ski patches, ski pins, ski tickets, ski brochures, t-shirts and various treasures.

This is from a set the government had discarded that was ostensibly the original artwork for the designing of the crests for the 48 State National Guard units and our associated territories. They are all original watercolors on board and are in varying condition and the time frame they were done was the 1920’s to the 1940’s and the dates are in the corners with the sign off of the relevant officer of the quartermaster general’s office. These are one of a kind design proofs for the State Guard unit crests and are extremely well done and executed. I do not know who this artist is. This design was approved by the Quartermaster’s department in 1924. It is in good condition with minor corner wear. The size is about 8″ x 10″. I focus on happy repeat customers and love what I do and try to ensure all customers are happy. I do not stay glued to my computer and have a real job so please do not expect instantaneous answers. I specialize in paper, photos, coins and militaria. I sell about anything except reproductions. If it is not old, I say so. If there is a defect, I also say so. You can always learn more in this business. If I make a mistake, and we all do, I will take responsibility for it and you can return the item.

Original Italian Fascist AO Corte Forestale Combattente Enamel Sleeve Shield
Original Italian Fascist AO Corte Forestale Combattente Enamel Sleeve Shield. Very nice original Italian fascist period item. There are two versions of this scudetto (shield) of which this is the second version. On both versions was the words Corte Forestale Combattente A. For the first type, the date campaign took place (A-XIII-XIV) and battles the unit was involved in are engraved on the beam of the fascio. On the second version there is NO campaign date, only the battles. The reason for these versions is that during the campaign there were two deployments of the “Agostini Column”, as the unit was known. The first was made up of approximately 500 foresters who arrived from Italy in 1935; the second was an additional 100 foresters sent to reinforcement of the Cohort in 1936. Since the 100 reinforcements did not participate in the first phase of the campaign they were awarded a separate shield with only the two battles they were engaged in (Dawa River and Ogaden). So, only 100 of these shields were produced for the second deployment. The badge is of bronze with a gilt surface and green enamel of the Forestry Militia (it was only issued as an enamel shield). 58mm tall with holes and a loop for attachment by sewing on. There are a few spots of damage to the enamel, most noticeably to the left of the fascio and directly below. The enamel damage does not detract from the overall appearance of the shield. The reverse is maker marked LORIOLI & FRATELLI MILANO ROMA in raised fine lettering. I have only seen one other and only in a picture. See my other auctions with military and other items! Please feel free to ask any questions. We strive to satisfy our customers.

This authentic BEZARD-KOMPASS was issued to military in The Netherlands hence the spelling K OMPASS and RICHTING meaning direction. It is the larger model II which was issued until 1928. These old army models were engraved either with D. Van Oorlog = War Dept. Until 1928 or later DvD Dept. This Army compass was called M. 22 (model 1922) and has a ruler 0-5 cms on the backside. This compass is in good working condition and comes in the original espresso brown leather cover. It has numerous scratches on the outer steel casing but the compass and mirror are in excellent condition. The leather casing is weathered but no holes or scratches. The manual has unfortunately disintegrated. Please note that my pictures have a slight rose hue (on my computer), but the compass steel encasement is cold gray steel. This is a family heirloom and will be a great addition to any collector. Please contact me regarding this special compass or any other items that I have listed. All items listed are family possessions. If you would like to return it, you must initiate the return within 3 days of receiving the item.
