The model looks like the 1915 adrians, but the frontal and rear visors are produced in one piece. This type is post World War 1 and was in use until WW2 and even after. It is the predecessor of the Belgian M31 helmet. The original black paint remains. The liner is an original M20 design (white liner band instead of the WW1 woollen band). The chin strap is original and unrepaired. The beautiful patyn of the original finish makes it very suitable for separate display in a nice glass showcase, lighted by spots. Ursprünglicher belgischer M20 Stahlhelm Adrian Art, Gendarmerie oder Militärpolizei. Abzeichen ist vom belgischen Königreich. This is an extremely nice example of an outstanding high ranking Japanese Army Officer Dress Parade Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a beautiful machine made blade that measures 27 1/4 inches in length which remains in near perfect condition with only some very minor surface blemishes. The exquisite guard wears an intricately detailed backstrap which includes sakura blossoms and remains in superb original condition with all of its gorgeous bright gold wash still present. The lovely carved horn hilt also remains very healthy and with its twisted wire wrap still securely in place. The plated metal scabbard remains outstanding in its condition as well. Overall measuring 33 7/8 inches in length. Still present, is the very nice original black sword knot, portepee, tassel. If you are looking for a pristine example for your collection, this one is it!
