Please ask before you pay. Size ca 57,5 cm. Original, very rare Belgian produced M20 Adrian helmet. An e xtremely rare model in very good condition. Original just post-WW1 helmet type: front and rear visor in one piece! . Probably a Jules Fonson production, but marked KB in the rear visor and no Fonson marking. Original 1920’s black paint for the Gendarmerie or police troops. (they had horizon blue before) Original shell, crest, badge, chin strap and liner (these liners differ from the M15 liners, because of the white webbing liner band). Nice army number inside. The lion head coat of arms belongs to the kingdom of the Belges. The Belgian Gendarmerie or police troops were not as you think for riot control. I wartime they had to defend bridges and other vital infrastructure, and so they were in the first line to offend the enemy and took their role in the front lines. Hardly seen in this condition. Originaler, sehr seltener, in Belgien hergestellter M20 Adrian-Helm. Ein äußerst seltenes Modell in sehr gutem Zustand. (vorher hatten sie “Horizon Blue”) Originale Schale, Wappen, Abzeichen, Kinnriemen und Innenfutter (diese Innenfutter unterscheiden sich von den M15-Innenfuttern durch das weiße Gewebeband). Schöne Armeenummer im Inneren. Das Löwenkopfwappen gehört zum Königreich der Belgier. Die belgischen Gendarmerie- oder Polizeitruppen dienten nicht, wie man denkt, der Aufstandsbekämpfung. Während des Krieges mussten sie Brücken und andere lebenswichtige Infrastrukturen verteidigen, und so standen sie in der ersten Reihe, wenn es darum ging, den Feind zu beleidigen, und übernahmen ihre Rolle an der Front.
