Kingdom of Afghanistan Northern Rebellion Campain medal of 1930 silver , Kingdom of Afghanistan Northern Rebellion Campain medal of 1930 silver, with (presumably semi-precious) jewel. I saw about a half-dozen of these with different color jewels, obviously vintage. About 2.5 inches from suspension loop to bottom, actually a pretty hefty medal. Multiple wins will be mailed together for the same price; please wait for the invoice before paying if you win multiple items.
Believed to be Officers Cap Badge most likely made in the UK. Graphically the coats of arms were similar, featuring only two major differences, the first difference being the royal crowns. The royal Serbian coat of arms depicts the Obrenovic dynastic crown, while the royal Yugoslav coat of arms depicted the ruling Karadordevic dynastic crown. The second difference involved the shield surmounted on the white double-headed eagle. The previous Serbian coat of arms depicted only the Serbian tetragrammatic cross, representing only the Serbian nation. When Yugoslavia formed in 1918, the surmounted shield changed to include symbolism for the newly integrated Croat (red-and-white chequerboard) and Slovene nations, as the three official nations of Yugoslavia. Measures approximately 1 3/4″ by 1 1/2″ overall. Excellent antique/vintage condition as shown. Please Note: Some devices/phones are unable to properly view scans and details of description.

Kingdom of Yugoslavia Royal House of Karadjordjevic Order Of The Crown V. ATTENTION: Dear Customers, you will receive exactly the same item which you see on the pictures, not similar or other. Please read the description carefully and review the photos. The Order of the Crown is an order founded on April 5, 1930 by King Alexander I under the name of the Order of the Yugoslav Crown in commemoration of the change of the official name of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes to the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. The order that was awarded in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia and today is awarded by the head of the royal house of Karadordevic. The name of the order was postponed as early as 1911. Before the beginning of the Balkan Wars in 1911, Prime Minister Nikola Pasic drafted a law on the establishment of orders. That project was realized only nineteen years later. King Alexander I, the founder of the order, was regent of the Kingdom of Serbia from 1914, regent of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes from 1918, and ascended the throne in 1921. During 1929, political crises and growing strong separatist movements in the country forced the King to temporarily suspend The Constitution also encouraged national unity, which eventually led to a change in the country’s name. The order is organized in 5 degrees, and was awarded to citizens who took the lead in the work to achieve national unity and cooperation, or for services to the Crown, the state and the nation in public services, as well as to foreign citizens, mainly for diplomatic services. The Order of the (Yugoslav) Crown was older than the Order of Saint Sava, and was worn on a dark blue ribbon. The order was awarded by the Crown. The Order’s insignia were made by Artis Bertrand in Paris (France) and the Ygenen Brothers in Le Locle (Switzerland). Today, the order is again awarded by the head of the royal house of Karadordevic. Decorations in Argentina and Chile have artistic inspiration modeled on the Order of the Yugoslav Crown. Dimensions of order: 4,5. Cm x 9,5cm. Weight with a box: 96g.
