World War I (Censorship). Censorship played an important role in the First World War. [15] Each country involved utilized some form of censorship. This was a way to sustain an atmosphere of ignorance and give propaganda a chance to succeed. [15] In response to the war, the United States Congress. This Model 16D helmet was manufactured in the Netherlands by “Artillerie-inrichting” only in 1927/1928 in very low numbers. Together, not more than 5000 pieces were produced of the Dutch M16C and M16D in all. So, this type is extremely scarce!! Original liner marked CM (Central Warehouse) 19?? Was taken from a M34 helmet. The chin strap is original as well. Original sand-structured paint underneath, and a black paint in between. Upper paint in the original 1920’s color. See also my other advertisements.
