Very Rare Greek officer sword model 1926. Sword in very good original condition, blade signed on ricasso. Solingen, On the opposite side sign ” Officer’s Academy of Athens”. On the blade a lot of decoartions, The grip is made of a horn, steel scabbard. The sword is very rare. This model was used by Officers who completed the Officers’ School in Athens in 1929-35. This is a very nice example of a beautifully well made Japanese Army Officer’s Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a wonderful blade that wears a cutting edge which measures 25 inches in length and boasts a gorgeous actively wavy temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The blade has survived in very nice original condition with only some very minor surface blemishes. The tang is signed which translates to ” Minamoto Nichi Nobu Saku Kore “. All the lovely fittings also remain in very nice condition and with the wrapping nice and tight. The Light Weight Aluminum scabbard remains very nice in its condition as well with just some light scuffs and has no dings. Overall measuring 38 1/2 inches in length. If you need some time to pay, please inform me and we’ll come to a deal. I write English, German, French and Dutch (and try to in other languages;). This rare French helmet appeared in 1939. It was rarely photographed during the short period of peace this helmet has known. After the defeat of the French army in 1940 and the signing of the Armistice in June, this model remained in in the navy buildings assigned to both sides. One side residual forces of the Government of Marshall Pétain, the other side being the troops of the’free French’, alongside the allies. Thus, this helmet model 39 remained in staffing throughout the second world war, and its production is resumed in the aftermath of the war for the needs of the Navy in the far East. It would seem that the 39 Navy model was only manufactured by Dunois Vincennes. Dieser seltene französische Helm erschien 1939. This is a wonderful example of a World War II Japanese Army Shin Gunto Officer Sword mounted with an ancestral blade. The blade wears a cutting edge that measures 26 9/16 inches in length and remains very nice in its condition with just some minor surface blemishes and a few very tiny nicks to the cutting edge, nevertheless continues to wear a beautiful polish and boasts a gorgeous actively wavy temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The blade also features a lovely horimono on either side. The tang wears two holes and is signed “Bizen No Kuni Osafune Sukesada Saku”. This Sword wears high quality Army Shin Gunto Regulation Mounts that also remain very nice condition in their condition as well as is accentuated with a pretty silver family Mon upon one of the menuki. The Regulation scabbard has also survived well with just some light scuffing to the beautiful lacquer finish however has no dings. Overall, the Sword measures 38 3/4 inches in length. This is a very nice example of a Japanese Naval Officer’s Dress Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a beautiful machine made blade that measures 25 3/4 inches in length. The plated blade although remains in good condition, has flaking to the plating on either side. The D-guard is beautifully detailed with pretty cherry blossoms “sakura” motifs that adorn the pommel, the backstrap and the guard face and frame a lovely white samé covered hilt with the original twisted wire wrap still securely in place. The wonderful shagreen covered scabbard has survived beautifully and in very healthy condition. All the lovely fittings continue to wear much of their original gold wash, and although the base fitting has a small ding on one side, they do remain very nice in their condition as well. This is a nice example of a large Japanese D-Guard Army Officer’s Kyu Gunto Sword, Type 19. It is mounted with a beautiful machine made blade with a cutting edge which measures 27 1/2 inches in length that remains in very nice, original condition with only minor surface blemishes. The beautifully detailed D-guard has now developed a very nice, rich aged patina and features a wonderful silver family mon on its backstrap. The lovely white rayskin covered hilt has survived in healthy condition and with its original twisted wire wrap still nicely place. The plated metal scabbard has some minor flaking and one small ding to the drag, otherwise has survived in very nice serviceable condition as well. Overall measuring 38 5/8 inches in length. This is a superb example of a Large Japanese High Ranking Naval Officer’s D-Guard Sword Pattern 1883. It is mounted with a grooved arsenal made blade which measures 26 1/2 inches in length that remains in very nice original condition. The fabulous gilded D-guard wears all of its original bright gold wash and frames a beautiful white samé covered hilt that has survived in very healthy condition and with its twisted wire wrap still tightly in place. The lovely original red and cream Sword Knot remains very nice in its condition and is mounted upon a gold cloth cording that reflects only minor wear. The outstanding shagreen covered scabbard also remains in near mint condition and wears beautifully detailed coordinating fittings that continue to wear all of their bright gold wash as well. It is mounted with a cast aluminum hilt that resembles the Officer’s pattern as well as wears a lovely brass tsuba and remains very nice, continuing to wear much of the original paint. The machine made blade measures 26 3/8 inches in length and remains in nice condition with only some minor surface staining and blemishes.
