There are no noticeable scratches or stains. Former Japanese army kai 45 type summer tunic and trousers. It’s from taisho era. This is a military uniform with a collar worn by army officers during the Taisho period. The fabric is a thin summer wool and is of good quality Although it is in good condition, it is not in very good condition as there are signs of insect damage, repairs, and dirt. There are traces of the infantry class badge being removed from the collar, and there is a button on the left chest that seems to be a unit badge. Tunic size neck circumference of 39cm, shoulder width of 44cm, sleeve length of 55cm, and chest circumference of 100cm. Trousers around the waist 86cm, inseam 67cm. Post-WW1 issued USMC Pattern 1912 Summer cotton jacket ID’d with 1920s collar EGAs
The jacket is named to Corporal Joseph F. He joined the U. Marine Corps in 1923 and served as a sea going marine on several battleships and spent time with the 3rd and 4th Marines. Quigley was discharged in 1930. The jacket is in very good condition. There’s a little fading and there’s one small hole behind the neck area. There seems to be a couple of water stains to the bottom area, shown in photos. Jacket is very small in size. One of the Corporal patches has some moth damage. I added the EGAs to complete the jacket, and will be included. The EGAs are bronze and are the correct period and issue for the jacket. Feel free to ask questions or request more photos.
