A nice USMC Good Conduct Medal group with service in China with the 10th Regiment of Artillery. While stationed at Quantico, he participated in the re-enactment of the Battle of Antietam as an Observer. Included in the group is his USMC Good Conduct Medal, frayed ribbon, engraved’No. There are 9 photos with a USMC observation balloon, on the ground & in the air, a Marine Corps biplane, Marine Corps cannons & a football game between Marines and VMI. Broussard was discharged as a PFC, but held a temporary warrant for Sergeant. While in China he was attached to the 1. A nice addition to your medal or USMC collection of a hard to find group from a Marine who served in Tientsin, China. Must be back in my hands 14 days from your receipt of the item. Description and photos speak for the item. Be sure to check out the photos for condition of the items. NOTE I was mistaken about which Civil War re-enactment they were involved in. Researching, it had to have been the re-enactment of Antietam. The Marines marched from Quantico and camped along the way to participate.

For sale is a so-called deck chronometer of the Kriegsmarine WW2. Watches of this type were used on submarines and warships. The diameter without crown is about 57mm, the visible dial diameter is 49mm. Only 1500 pieces of this model were produced, of course some of these watches did not survive the war or went down with their ships. The number of watches still existing today is probably much smaller. What makes this timepiece extremly rare are the original 3. The watch for sale is in a very good condition, with a beautiful patina. The movement is the IWC Cal. The case numbers are identical on both lids. Even after such a long time the watch still runs perfectly. The hands, case, movement and dial are original. The movement is absolutely flawless and practically as good as new. Delivered in a batch of 1500 watches to the German General Importer, Gerl & Schipper in Cologne between 13 Jan. 1943 and 21 Dec. Luminous dial (zinc sulfide). Signed, KM/ International Watch Co. Small second at the 6. This is a private sale. Please feel free to ask any question. Collector’s watches bear witness to contemporary history and are more valuable than watches from today’s mass production because of their unique history. Certain rate deviations compared to today’s new watches are due to the greater tolerances in the manufacturing process at that time or less complicated movement designs, the age, possible wear and tear and/or the revision status. However, the majority of collectors’ watches still meet today’s everyday requirements. The item “Original WW2 IWC deck observer watch Cal. 67 with 3. 687b POLAND POLISH NAVY OBSERVER WINGS BADGE, bolts of lighting in gold gilt, multi piece construction, 11 pieces held together by a series of rivetes, silver gilt badge, very rare hand made by Col Bialkiewicz in London after the war. This badge is exactly the same as the original. Nothing known to me exists that comes closer to the very rare original. For those who do not know anything about Col. Bialkiewicz may be interested to know a little about this Polish patriot. A recipient of the Virtuti Militari for his heroic tank battle as a Captain at Monte Cassino. After the war he learned a trade as a jeweler making womens jewelery. His hobby was collecting and making medals and badges for exiled Polish soldiers. He donated much of his good fortune to poor Polish disabled veterans. I had the pleasure of knowing him and he shared some of his badges with me. May he rest in peace and his memory live on.
