Original Pre-WWII US Navy Naval Aviator Observer Wings White Co. Very nice original item. Construction in silvered brass. Unmarked, cavity back, pin-back fastener with C-hook. Although unmarked this is the White Co. Pattern and examples are known. This is one of the rarer US Naval Aviator wings out there. This was in regulations between 1927 and 1929 approx. I attached a screenshot of the 1922 US Naval Regulations Supplement detailing order 225(c) on the naval aviator observer wings which would be replaced by the O-wing in mid 1929. The whole regulation is available on the University of Illinois digital library where it was scanned in. Note: There are no berries, these are feathers. Original Spanish WWII Era Order of Military Merit Cross White Distinction. Nice vintage and original WWII era items for the Order of Military Merit in white. Overall in near-mint condition. The cross frame and crown is in gilt bronze. Imperial crown is used during Franco’s National Fascist period. The Order of Military Merit (Orden del Mérito Militar) was instituted by Queen Isabel II/Isabella II on August 3, 1864. It was established to recognize either Spanish or foreign military personnel in recognition of outstanding and meritorious actions in time of war or peace. Four-piece construction, insignia in silver and gilt bronze with blue enamels, mounted to a cross base in bronze gilt with white enamels, measuring 38.5 mm (w) x 45.5 mm (h), intact enamels, sunned original ribbon with safety pin attachment. Footnote: The White Cross Order of the Home Guard was instituted on June 19, 1929, becoming a national award on October 7, 1936. It was awarded for distinguished services to the defense of Estonia, in three grades.
