Imperial German, M1895 Prussian Reserve Officers Pioneer Battalion Helmet Plate
An original, 1895 Prussian Reserve Officer, Pioneer Battalion Helmet Plate. Very fine quality with silver gilt finish. There is modest wear on the contact points and a dark spot on the lower right side of the eagle. The eagle has mounting holes for a reserve cross but there is np evidence that one was ever mounted. The threaded mounting posts along with the original washers and nuts are in place. From a 1960’s-70’s imperial Collection. Early PRUSSIAN WW1 POLICE SWORD & LEATHER SCABBARD, & FROG
This is an older strait blade police sword , with the Prussian dove head design. The maker marks are lightly been removed at one time. The leather scabbard is in above good condition , as is the German silver plating, on the throat of the scabbard, the d guard, the drag , and the dove head. This has initials on the frog as well as the name and the company of the person who captured it , but is hard to read. The blade is 25 1/4 inches long, and the scabbard has a stud to attach to the belt. If anyone knows what model or maker please past it on to me. This sword is 32 inches long, and has a slight dimple in the drag. The wooden grip is in above good condition , as is the blade, with the tinniest bit of rounding on the tip. The leather frog has some wear around the stud hole. The belt slide is strong, and the black leather scabbard in above good condition. Overall it is an honest original set that has that out of the attic look to it, not overly cleaned or restored. Very Nice German Prussian Imperial Officer Sword
This is a very nice example of a German Prussian Imperial Officer’s Sword that dates from the early 20th Century. It is mounted with a slightly curved plain blade that measures 32 1/8 inches in length which remains in nice original condition with only some minor surface blemishes. The lovely gilded guard features an intricately detailed oak leaf pattern along the backstrap and has survived in nice condition with all of the gold was still present as well as frames a beautiful composite covered hilt with its twisted wire wrap still securely in place. The black lacquered metal scabbard is a bit scuffed but does remain in very nice serviceable condition as well. Overall measuring 38 1/4 inches in length. TO SEE ADDITIONAL PHOTOS PLEASE SCROLL DOWN. Scarce Prussian 1819 Cuirassier Pallasch German Sword
It is not in the best of shape however as seen in the pics; the blade is damaged with heavy pitting (no rust remaining though) and the scabbard looks like it has been grounded on parts to remove heavy rust. Hilt is slightly loose. Length in scabbard: 117cm – 46′. Length overall: 112cm – 44′. Hilt length: 165mm – 6 1/2′. Blade length: 97cm – 38′.
