This poster was a submission for the 3rd Annual Peace Poster Contest in the 1930s’. It has an identifying stamp at the lower right corner with the name “Edna” next to it. It certainly has seen better days – as it has a long tare at the “W” in war as well as the lower left corner bottom. Also noted is the moisture damage that is seen by the dark areas and shapes on the poster. We acquired this from a local estate sale with no other information provided. 1930’s EM Infantry Dress Visor Cap – Contract Marked. The cap has some light wear throughout. The blue infantry cap band has some wear, fading and discoloration (see pictures). Chin strap and visor have some light wear and the visor has cracking in the finish. The cap insignia has some light wear and blemishing.
