(Scheid, Wien)’, enameled, oval medallion with blue enameled gold outer circlet, center with the image of the saint wearing the red robe, painted in the finest enamel miniature, the four double eagles’ obverse with applied escutcheons gilt and enameled, hinged crown suspension above a chiseled, stylized acanthus leaf, original ornamented suspension loop and silk ribbon. This flag was found in a flooded basement of a lieutenant majors house. Along with other stuff that will be posted. He fought in ww2, Korean war, and Vietnam wars that i know of. He kept a lot of memorabilia, most lost to the water. Was able to salvage some. Needs a good cleaning as you can see in the pic. A few spots on the white silk is pulling apart. Has dirt on spots. This 1930’s U. Army Full Dress Field Grade Officer’s white summer cap is in very good condition overall; The cap is faded from use, age and storage and has a small area of staining on the top of the cap, cap badge has toning and nice patina, sweatband is intact and has minor wear (all stitching in very good condition), when worn the visor has a very nice shape and the oak leaf clusters in gold bullion on the visor have nice toning with no fraying or loose threads. Work epaulettes: are sewn in colored markings, so they approach two millimeters as a wrinkle, on the corners of the euphoria are slightly shaded, 10 mm from the upper end there is one small navy button.
