For sale is an. Old Antique CHINESE EXPORT SOLID SILVER SHANGHAI VOLUNTEER CORPS 1928 Military PRESENTATION TROPHY CUP / GOBLET made by TUCK CHANG. The front has the Badge of the Shanghai Volunteer Corps with various flags, the words Omnia Juncta Inuno, and the date 4th April 1854 (see photos). It is Engraved S. Annual Rifle Meeting Aggregate C Class 1928 as a Presentation Trophy. This is a Large Cup, measuring 7 1/4 inches (18.5 cm) in Height. The Top Rim measures 3 1/2 inches (9 cm) in diameter. It weighs 265 grams (over 8.5 troy ounces). The Silver is Good, Thick Gauage. The outer edge of the base is Hallmarked “Tuck Chang” with a Chinese Character mark (see photos). The inside is Gilded / Goldwashed (see photos). The top rim is very slightly bent out of shape, but this is a minor issue and could easily be corrected (see photos). Up for sale is a very nice, albeit used, Italian M1909 sword. The bluing is dark and glossy, the sword balances nicely and is in overall good shape- however, there’s a chip out of the palm-swell of wood grip, and the blade shows evidence of old, period sharpening. Take a look at my feedback to see how other buyers liked my previous US Navy Photo albums. You will have a hard time finding one like this again. The album is approximately 13.5″ x9″ x 1 and it has approximately 270 black and white period photographs held in with paper corners. Approximately 120 are on or of the Pennsylvania herself and other U. Warships she came in contact with. I would guess another 20 to 30 are of sailors on the beach. Most of the photos have captions under them identifying ships or crew members. But the sailor himself is not identified. Many of these photos are original and unpublished and I really think they are exceptional. Around a half dozen of the photos are missing. I see this leather album cover is unique with heavy embossing on a nautical theme with the Pennsylvania photo in the center and it is in pretty good condition, but the binding straps look to be replacements for the usual rawhide ones. But the photos are the most important thing and they are very nice. Some of the interesting photos are first photo from the bow with a lot of detail of the fore turrets and the bridge. The #5 shot from the bridge showing the fore turrets. And the last photo is rare because it is from inside the 14 gun turret #4, which seems to be this sailor’s action station. I have saved this for years and now I realize I need to clear out some space for different interests. I will pack it back up very well. Please check my other auctions.
