Nice Imperial German Naval Sword with Bone handle with silver wire and Damascus blade. Excellent detail to lion head and mane, green and red glass eyes. Nice detail to Imperial crown and anchor on non-folding hand guard. Locking mechanism works properly. Nice random pattern Damascus shows minor age spots, but no nicks, sharpening or bends. Leather scabbard is missing one staple from upper fitting revealing the numeral 6. Leather is decent, but has one repair and one soft spot (not torn) see pics. Original Vet Acquired German WWII Dagger Blade with Matching Pommel Nut and one other part as seen in pictures. Needle-point bright blade is maker marked M7/40/41 showing some very mild peppering from age and a very light nick to lower cutting edge, otherwise it’s in very nice condition overall. Comes with it’s original (plated type) matching pommel nut and its original grip button as seen in pictures. I offer this sword for commanders of the Austrian fire brigade. It is a very rare version with a different design compared with normal pieces and it has a sawback blade, which is exceptional, too. All brass mountings of the handle and the leather scabbard are hand chased and were fire gilt. The handle is made of fine bone (no ivory, normal bone). The crossguard is marked with the number “4508”. Unfortunately an emblem on the handle is missing. I think it has shown a symbol of the fire brigade or the coats of arms of the Austrian Empire. The sword was made between 1910 and 1930. A very rare and decorative piece. Measures: complete 84,5cm (33”); without scabbard 78,5cm (31”); blade 64,5cm (25,5”). Condition: good with the following deficiencies: blade doesn’t fits completely in the scabbard (shrunk because of the age), some small dents on the mountings, very small chip on the handle, emblem on the handle is missing and blade with stains. This is an extremely nice example of a WW2 Japanese Army Officers Shin Gunto. It is mounted with a very nice old koto blade. The early high quality type 94 koshirae with pierced tsuba remains in exceptionally nice condition. Japanese Army Officers Shin gunto Sword with a very rare Colonel Grade Tassel. The sword blade is very old and dates from no later than the late 1650s. This is mounted in above average military pattern fittings and the gilt is almost completely intact on the handle and on the scabbard as well. To the Japanese Army officer a Sword was a sacred symbol that conveyed high social status. This was a family heirloom that was re-purposed into the regulation Army Officers Shin Gunto Sword and would have certainly had great sentimental value to the Japanese Army Colonel who carried it as a badge of rank. The Japanese Military Officers Samurai sword was the most prized war trophy of the Pacific War and it was an iconic symbol of the Japanese ethos of Warfare. Shinano Kami Fujiwara Daido. Overall, 38 3/4 inches; blade, 26 inches; blade and tang, 34 3/8 inches. Sword smith name is. And he worked mainly Keian.
