This is a very nice example of a Japanese Army Officer’s Sword. It is mounted with a Gendai blade that wears a cutting edge which measures 25 1/2 inches in length. The blade remains in very nice original condition with a lovely temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The tang is signed which translates to “Nagamura KIYONOBU “. All the fittings have also survived in very nice, clean condition. The black lacquered metal scabbard also remains in very good serviceable condition. Overall measuring 38 3/4 inches in length. This is a very nice example of a Japanese Shin Gunto Sword carried by an Army Officer during World War II. It is mounted with an ancestral, streamline signed KOTO blade that wears a cutting edge of 26 3/4 inches in length. The blade has survived in beautiful polished condition with a very nice temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The tang wears one hole and although difficult to make out, possibly reads? All the nice quality fittings also remain very nice as does the metal scabbard which remains absolutely perfect in its condition. For sale is a vintage rifle mounted / hand held bayonet. It’s a Dutch model 1895 manufactured under contract by Austria (the OE over WG stamp on the blade) and used by the Dutch Infantry. Those made under contract by Austria and Germany had hooked quillons and were the earliest version. Blade length approx 14 inches – 19 inches overall length. Blade is marked on both sides – unknown markings – 6739 G (stamped on the cross piece) – both sides of blade have some sort of makers marks. Locking bolt spring is strong and functional. This is a good example of a Japanese D-Guard Army Officer’s Kyu Gunto Sword. It is mounted with an ancestral blade that wears a cutting edge of 19 inches in length. The blade although is in need of a professional polish, does remain in good condition with just some minor openings but no cracks and no bends. The tang wears two holes and shows to have been shortened leaving only a portion of the signature Omidajo Fuji? The large D-guard remains in nice condition with some of the original gild still present and is enhanced with a silver family mon on the backstrap. The beautiful white rayskin covered hilt is a bit damaged near the peg hole, otherwise remains very healthy in its condition and a small portion of the original twisted wire wrap is still present. The plated metal scabbard remains very nice with only some minor flaking near the drag nevertheless has no dings. Overall measuring 33 1/8 inches in length. Be sure to add me to your favorites list. This is a very nice example of a World War II Japanese Army Shin Gunto Officer Sword mounted with an ancestral blade. The very fine antique Shinto, unsigned blade wears a cutting edge of 25 1/2 inches in length and from tip to tip it measures 32 inches. The blade does wear a visibly beautiful actively wavy temper line that extends to the tip on either side and remains in untouched, uncleaned condition with only some minor surface blemishes. This blade has survived in very healthy condition and is a very nice quality made antique blade with no flaws, no bends and no cracks. The Sword wears Army Shin Gunto Regulation Mounts which all remain in very nice condition as well. The Regulation scabbard also remains very nice with only one very tiny ding.
