
ARTIFACT: Rare 1920’s Citizen Military Training Camps ring in enameled and gold-plated brass. The center of the ring shows an enameled US Shield in red and blue raised detail and surrounding it reads: “CITIZEN MILITARY TRAINING CAMPS” and each side of the ring depicts an eagle soaring with a US Shield clutched in its talons. SIZE: Approximately size 9; 15/16″ x 7/8″. MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: 14K gold-plated brass, enamel. ATTACHMENT: To be worn on finger. CONDITION: 6- (Fine): The ring shows moderate to heavy wear, some of the enamel details remain intact, overall fine condition. Post WWI Propaganda Poster. Measuring 30″ x 20″ this is a fantastic vibrant World War One veteran poster produced for the Red Cross Roll Call, Nov. Has been professionally framed. Artist: Jean-Louis Forain It reads: The Red Cross is spending ten million dollars a year to help the disabled ex-service man and his family. Annual Roll Call, Nov. 11th24th It features a full color disabled soldier holding a cane and sitting in a chair while shadow of a Red Cross nurse looks onward in the background. Red Cross cross in upper left hand corner. There is some discoloration, edge wear and other damage from display and age. With frame, measures 21.5in x 32in.
Original Spanish WWII Era Sterling Order of Military Merit Cross Red Distinction. Nice vintage and original Spanish Civil War/WWII era items for the Order of Military Merit in red. Overall in very good condition. The reverse of the cross is also enameled and has a couple chips out of the clear red enamel – very hard to see. The front of the cross is in mint condition – the images shows some reflection not damage. The cross frame and crown is in sterling silver. It is marked with the star silver hallmark of Spain and the maker’s hallmark. Imperial crown is used during Franco’s National Fascist period. The Order of Military Merit (Orden del Mérito Militar) was instituted by Queen Isabel II/Isabella II on August 3, 1864. It was established to recognize either Spanish or foreign military personnel in recognition of outstanding and meritorious actions in time of war or peace.
