Set of 2 1930s German aviation pins. WHW and Luftsport pin. Vintage 1930s/1940s “Deustcher Luftsport Verband” German air sports club pin. In nice condition showing some scrathe. WHW Donation pin in the shape of a plane with the inscription which roughly translates in English to “The German people have to become aviators”. The pin has a struck steel construction with pin to rear measuring 35mm x 30mm. The pin retains most of its plating. Excellent early Droop Tail Luftwaffe Eagle pole top or auto insignia. Eagle is made of a heavy alloy and is attacked to a brass third Reich emblem. Has mounting and attaching bolt. Nice size for display Approx 9″ tall and has a wingspan of approx 9″ base measures approx 3 x 5”. No markings that I can find as to the maker? No dings dents or breaks in the casting. During the WWII, these type of helmets were part of the standard outfit of the German. They were worn by the flying personnel, fighter pilots and bomber flyers. The helmet is made of qualitative brown natural leather with cover inside. It has metal buttons, which are marked’Prym. Shows very little use, most wear can be seen at the top of the cap. Great condition for its age. Very faint lettering visible on chin strap must have been the crewmans name.
