Antique Red Leather Bucket British Royal Navy Powder Charge Carrier 16
Offered is a great Antique Red Leather Bucket of the British Royal Navy – a Powder Charge Carrier with a polychrome transfer heraldic crest. A great leather handle is attached by buttons. The bucket measures approximately 16″ tall with an additional 6 1/2″ with handle up. The rim diameter measures 7 1/2″ and the base diameter is 8 1/2″. The condition is good for decorative appeal. There is some loss and frailness and some sign of repairs around the upper rim. There are some loss to the inside canvas. Please look carefully at the photos.

Rare Barnsby British Cavalry Saddle – Circa 1940s-50s Offered here is an authentic Barnsby cavalry saddle (stamped “BC”), produced by J. Barnsby & Sons of Walsall & London, official suppliers to the British armed forces. This saddle is military issue, not a civilian variant, and retains its original tree stamps (“Spring Tree” / “Rigid Tree”), military marks, and 18 seat. Barnsby & Sons (by appointment to HM the Queen). Era: WWII / immediate post-war period (1940s-50s). Seat Size: 18″. Stamps: “BC (Barnsby Cavalry), dual tree markings. Condition: Excellent antique condition; leather supple and intact, original fittings present. Minor patina consistent with age. Provenance: Obtained in the Midwest from a private collection. These saddles are highly sought after by military collectors, reenactors, museums, and equestrians due to their rarity and historical significance. Very few intact cavalry models survive in this condition.

Original Spanish Civil War Campaign Nationalist Medal 9K Gold British Made
Original Spanish Civil War Campaign Nationalist Medal 9K Gold British Made. The black ribbon color on the sides indicates this one was awarded for to a combatant. This is where if gets interesting. The medal is a jeweler made version in 375 gold (9Kt – which is typical for British gold items) and is marked as such along with the English marks for assay Chester and V letter code for 1946. It is also named to EL LEGIONARIO SJ BROWN 1902977. Obviously an Anglicized inscription. Not sure if the number is a British service number or some ID from time in the Nationalist ranks. It is also marked PK for the maker (maker name unidentified). When I acquired it several years back I found an article online that had some summary details of an SJ Brown who fought in the Spanish Civil War for Franco, in the British Army during WWII, and then was a Dutch Merchant Marines into the 1950s. That is the extent of what I have been able to research. The medal is 33mm across by 3mm thick, and appears to be cast from an original. The two hanger rings are also made in 9K (375) gold. The gold purity has been tested. Ribbon appears to be a later addition. Medal weighs 34.0 grams, which is 12.75 grams of pure gold. See my other auctions with military and other items!
