Original vet acquired German WWII Chained Dagger Parts including scabbard and blade. Text book example of a late war chained dagger parts, showing age, wear and some corrosion as seen in pictures. Scabbard is a later style “Type II” with nickel plated fittings and anodized body with a center mount having a more of a “rolled” or “rounded look” to the border edges as seen and described by Thomas Wittmann on page 141 of his book Collecting the Dress Daggers and Sword of the German… Blade is the original unmarked type which is always found on chained daggers. Blade shows heavy age and wear, but still having a perfect tip and threading is excellent. Extremely rare and very hard to find original chained dagger parts!! Don’t miss out on this one!!! This is estate sale find – a very nice example of pre-WWII (1937) Japanese Shin Gunto Army Officer’s Katana sword. The blade is in very good condition with only some minor surface blemishes. The tang is signed on both sides. The cutting edge is 26 inches in length. All fittings are original and in very nice clean condition. The metal scabbard in a very good condition as well. This is a good example of a Japanese Army Officer Shin Gunto Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a hand-forged blade that wears a cutting edge which measures 26 11/16 inches in length. The blade, although shows forging flaws along with some light scratches, does remain in nice condition with a lovely actively wavy temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The tang wears one hole and is unsigned. All the very nice fittings have also survived well, including the very nice substantially weighted tsuba and the hilt wrapping is tight with only a little fraying. The metal scabbard reflects battle fatigue with scuffing and a couple of hits near the drag, nevertheless does remains in very good servicable condition. Overall measuring 39 5/8 inches in length. This is an original WWII Japanese Navy Vice Admirals large shipboard flag. It measures 5 foot 5 inches by 8 foot 8 inches and the panels are all sewn together. Has several holes and stains, but still displays great. These flags are very hard to find in any condition. This is an exquisite example of a rare and seldom encountered Japanese General’s Grade Army Officer Kyu Gunto Sword. It is mounted with a fabulous machine made fullered blade which measures 26 inches in length that remains in very nice original condition with only some very minor surface blemishes. The gorgeous intricately detailed gilded brass guard remains absolutely beautiful in its condition with much of its original bright gold wash still present and frames a lovely shell hilt that has also survived perfectly in its condition. The lovely plated metal scabbard, although has some light flaking with minor surface oxidation near the drag along with a couple of very minor dings, does remain in very nice serviceable condition as well.. The front of the album itself has a photo of the USS Pennsylvania- Flagship of the US Fleet- in it. In the beginning are the signatures addresses and comments from 41 of his fellow sailors. He has filled out 7 pages of the log/ diary that follow the signature pages. The photos are all original snapshot photos with some exceptions here and there (some are real photo postcards, etc)- the majority are original snapshots. I counted just over 140 photos. They are all held in place with corner tabs so theyre not glued in at all. US fleet anchored in Panama, Several of Panama City/ Old Panama, Refueling Destroyer #340, Pennsy in Battle Maneuvers, Sailors swimming in the bay, Beer for all! Sailors/ soldiers on parade/ landing force, May 1934 in New York City (Parade up 5th Ave, Battle Force entering the Hudson River, some buildings including the Empire State Building). Shells laid out on deck, guns firing at night, Boxing match on board, etc etc. The album itself has some wear but is in pretty nice shape yet. The photos are excellent. There are some that are in here loose and might not be on the correct pages, and there are some here and there that seem to be missing but not many. Original very good condition 1943 Type 1 P38 Walther hard-shell holster by ewx Franz u. Karl Voegels Lederwarenfabrik in Koln. Karl Voegels Lederwarenfabrik was a very famous maker of both P38 and P08 holsters. They manufactured P38 holsters between 1942 and 1944. Nowadays the 1943 holster are much rarer than those made in 1941 and 1942. The holster has a fold-over top secured with a leather strap through a metal loop. The top has a metal reinforced plate which fits over the loop, all three are in very good secure condition. The long side of the holster has a stitched spare magazine pouch. The reverse of the holster has two leather stitched belt loops, both secure. Between the belt loops there is a’ewx’ stamp and 1943 date with WaA195 proof. There is a’P38′ stamp to the right of the second belt loop. Inside, the holster retains the’pull’ strap. The holster retains a firm shape. Please refer to the photos for condition and more details. M 1921 inter war period Hungarian Air Force Pilot Badge. This is a rare badge in excellent condition. Appears to be unworn. Prior to 1918, Hungarian pilots were issued Austrian badges as part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. In 1921, Hungary manufactured its own badges with the Hungarian colors in the shield at the bottom. These badges remained in service until WWII. Budapest makers mark on eagle (more precisely Turul) reverse. Box no longer present.
