This is an outstanding example of a Japanese Army Officer’s Combat Sword Belt which dates from the World War II Era. It is constructed of heavy canvas with leather trim and metal fittings. The canvas has survived in extremely nice, healthy condition as has all the leather fittings with all their stitching still tightly intact. This is a nice example of a beautifully well made Japanese Army Officer’s Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a Gendai handfordged blade which wears a cutting edge that measures 25 5/8 inches in length which boasts a gorgeous actively wavy temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The blade has survived in very nice condition with only some minor surface blemishes and very light oxidation spots at the extreme tip. The tang is signed which translates to ” Noshu Seki Junin Kanemitsu “. All the fittings remain in very nice, clean condition as well and with the original brown and blue Officers tassel still present. The metal scabbard also remains very nice in its condition. This is a very nice example of a well made German Trench Knife / Boot Knife that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a “W” marked blade that measures 6 3/4 inches in length which remains in superb original condition with only some minor surface blemishes. It has a two piece riveted wooden grip that also remains in excellent condition. The black lacquered scabbard wears a belt clip and remains near perfect in its condition as well with just some light surface scuffing. Overall measuring 11 1/2 inches in length.
