Kingdom of Afghanistan Medal for Campaign Against Konar State repurposed as a bride’s dress or hat centerpiece. It looks like the original suspension loop was removed and reused at top, and combined with a stone. Loop at top is sealed, not a split ring. It’s common to find coins and trinkets repurposed for brides but this is one of the few medals I saw repurposed. Must have made Grampa proud! I have no way of knowing what the stone is, Afghanistan is so full of semiprecious stones that GIs used to follow dump trucks of fill and then grab rough gems and tumble them back in their hooch.

This is from a set the government had discarded that was ostensibly the original artwork for the designing of the crests for the 48 State National Guard units and our associated territories. They are all original watercolors on board and are in varying condition and the time frame they were done was the 1920’s to the 1940’s and the dates are in the corners with the sign off of the relevant officer of the quartermaster general’s office. These are one of a kind design proofs for the State Guard unit crests and are extremely well done and executed. I do not know who this artist is. This design was approved by the Quartermaster’s Department in 1926. It is in good condition with minor corner wear. The size is about 8″ x 10″. I focus on happy repeat customers and love what I do and try to ensure all customers are happy. I do not stay glued to my computer and have a real job so please do not expect instantaneous answers. Huge 1930s panoramic “yard long” photograph. This 1930s panoramic Photo is of the 1938 146th FA Washington State US National Guard. The Photo is in its original frame. The Photo has a framers sticker on the back of looks like E. The photo is in fair to good condition for age. There are some ripples in the photo. There are a couple areas of black color loss lines down Photo (photo #6, might be manufacturing flaws). There is a small white emulsion loss on photo (pic # 7). Frame with inner beading losses. Frame AS IS with wear, scratches, losses etc… Scarce huge size at 56″ long by 9 1/2″ wide. Hard to find these old pandemic photos this size. Look at photos as they are considered part of the description. We have been long time collectors and dealers of early English Transferware, Quality 19th century furniture, and Victoriana.
