I’ve collected USMC shooting badges for decades and have never seen another BB&B second pattern (1915 to present) expert badge. I’ve owned several BB&B rifle expert badges, and several BB&B “colt” (pre 1915) pistol badges, but cannot even find record of another of these online.

For your consideration is this WWI Era U. Marine Corps Pistol Expert shooting badge made in Silver by Bailey Banks & Biddle of Philadelphia, PA. I’ve collected USMC shooting badges for decades and have never seen another BB&B second pattern (1915 to present) expert badge. I’ve owned several BB&B rifle expert badges, and several BB&B “colt” (pre 1915) pistol badges, but cannot even find record of another of these online. The ladder bar is not likely a BB&B made item, although very fine in its own right and also made of Sterling. The detail and craftsmanship of this Pistol Expert badge has no equal – I’ve owned all known varieties at one point, and this one takes the cake. See our high-resolution pictures for fine detail work on the pistols and wreath especially. This piece is in exceptional original condition as shown. Please see our other listings for other rare shooting badges and pins. Please see our other listings, and check back often as we typically list 30-50 high-end estate items each week with No Reserve!
