Rare and seldom encountered, this is a lovely example of a Japanese Naval Bandsman Belt which dates from the World War II Era and has survived in outstanding condition. It is constructed of beautiful, healthy chestnut brown leather with brass fittings that features a very nicely detailed anchor upon the face of the buckle. The olive green paint has been painted over somewhere in the past. The heraldic Lion sign of the Kingdom of The Netherlands is original and was never taken off. Leather liner and nape cover is original and black in color. Liner felt pads are original. All in all a wonderful addition to any helmet collection. See also my other advertisements. POLAND POLISH ORDER OF THE VIRTUTI MILITARI, 1930s restrike 5th class, silver gilt and enamels. Many were made from original dies. This example has a new ribbon. Super enamels with large and heavy suspension. Copies of VMs were made before the war as replacements for lost government issued numbered type. These copies were made mostly in silver gilt from bronze/brass metal. About 10 different jewelers all over Poland made them. Polish military regulations required that the highest decoration a soldier was awarded be worn at all times even in combat or in training. Most of these original VMs were lost during WWII when Polish soldiers were captured or executed as in the case of the Katyn Forest Massacre where 20,000 Polish officers and enlisted were executed by the Soviets. Photos are seen with bodies still wearing their decorations. The collection offered for sale here consists of many different copies made before and after the war in cheaper design as well as pre WW. In most cases when copies were made by Gontarczyk, Wabinski, Reising, Knedler or Krupski and Matulewic. These copies were made from the same dies, same metal but without the official number on the lower reverse arm of the cross. Only the official government issued VMs were numbered from 1-9,999. There were never any numbered duplicates made. Post war copies were made from new dies and the quality was very inferior as seen on current copies made by Panansiuk. The free listing tool. This is a very nice example of a Japanese Army NCO Sword, Type 95. It wears a brass guard and is mounted with a cast aluminum hilt painted to resemble the Officer’s pattern which continues to wear some of the original paint and does remain in nice, tight condition. The machine made blade measures 26 3/8 inches in length. The blade also has survived in very nice original condition with only some minor surface blemishes. The MATCHING metal scabbard is a lightly scuffed near the carrying ring but does remain in very good serviceable condition as well and has no dings. Overall measuring 38 1/4 inches in length. Authentic Anton Reiche Chocolate Mold featuring five uniformed Prussian soldiers i n beautiful condition. Marked on the side above the soldiers’ heads with “2 Anton Reiche Dresden 7″ meaning it was made in 1927, and the letter “P” which may stand for Platinol the nickel-coated sheet metal they were famous for creating. Or maybe the “P” refers to the Prussian soldiers. The mold’s catalogue number 1438 is on the side below the soldiers’ feet. This has been in my family for at least 60 years, but perhaps for longer. This is a very nice example of a Japanese Bayonet Type 30 which was designed to fit the Arisaka Rifle. This particular Bayonet wears a flat bird’s head pommel with a hook crossguard and wrap around grip. It is mounted with a bright blade that measures 15 5/8 inches in length. The blade has survived in superb condition with only some minor surface blemishes and is marked with the Jinsen Arsenal marking on the ricasso. The contour wrap around wooden grips are fastened by rivets and remain in very nice, healthy condition as well. The blued metal scabbard is lightly scuffed but does remain very nice and still wears a leather double loop frog that also remains healthy in its condition. 1934 MANCHUKUO EMPIRE ORDER OF THE PILLARS OF STATE 8TH CLASS MEDAL.
