27 Press Photos 1932 China Shanghai Chapei Pre-WWII Occupation by Japanese. Nice lot of original press photos from early 1932, shortly after the Japanese began their brutal occupation of China. Most of them have the original paper captions- Many of the captions are torn off but theyre still present. A bunch of them show two images on one photo. One smaller photo has a bit of paper from another caption stuck to it but this could probably be removed. The very bottom photo might not be from China but it was with these when I got them. There are 8 photos at the bottom which are pasted on both sides of sheets of paper. Some photos are excellent others do have some wear/ missing corners. Really nice lot of ORIGINAL 1932 photos of one of the dark periods in China’s history. Most of them are 8X10 Includes some extra paper captions but I dont think any of the photos they belong with are here.

Four-piece construction, insignia in silver and gilt bronze with blue enamels, mounted to a cross base in bronze gilt with white enamels, measuring 38.5 mm (w) x 45.5 mm (h), intact enamels, sunned original ribbon with safety pin attachment. Footnote: The White Cross Order of the Home Guard was instituted on June 19, 1929, becoming a national award on October 7, 1936. It was awarded for distinguished services to the defense of Estonia, in three grades.

The hat screw badge is marked with the hallmark H-H, and the back is also marked 1/20 Silver, Sterling. The pair of collar screws are marked 10K, sterling and H-H. A total of 3 USMC insignias. This is from 1927 through 1936. The rope is not wrapped around the anchor but in an arch design, which is the 1927 pattern. Also, the 1927 Hilborn Hamburger pattern has the legs spread apart. Hilborn Hamburger continued to use this pattern after 1937. The most desirable pattern is the legs spread apart. Please review the pictures carefully, as they are also part of the description.
