At different times this territory was the property of the countries: the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Poland, the Russian Empire, Romania, USSR and others. During frequent wars, the territories were occupied by German, Russian, Polish, cheh, Romanian, Hungarian, and Austrian troops. There are a lot of historical items left from different people that you can see in my store. Not only will these things beautify your home or office, they can be a great addition to your collection or museum exhibit. Where else will you find such interesting items as not in my store? WWII M1917 “Remington” Eddystone Bayonet & M1917 V. P. Co. Was designed to be used with the US. Rifle, as well as with the seven different U. The M1917 bayonet, being a direct copy of the British P14 bayonet, retained the transverse cuts in the grip panels. These panels served to differentiate the P1914 bayonet from the P1907 bayonet in British service as the only difference between the two was the height of the muzzle ring. In US service these transverse cuts served no official purpose. Bayonet has a 17 blade stamped 1917 & REMINGTON inside of a circle. The reverse side is stamped with Ordinance Symbol, Eagle, U. & a faint stamped number 9. Scabbard is stamped U. M1917 & V. P. Co. On the metal throat. Also has an oil hole. Note: This Bayonet & Scabbard are from a Veteran owned Collection. This one is in Excellent unissued condition. THIS WOULD MAKE A GREAT ADDITION TO YOUR COLLECTION & A GREATFINDFORYOU! Antique original Chinese made pith helmet, otherwise known as a sun helmet. The brim is fabric covered cork and does have some damage. I would consider the entire helmet to be very very fragile. The paper manufacturers tag inside is similar to tags found in Japanese helmets. Which roughly translates to Produced by the factory of Guangda Industrial Co. I do not know exactly when the helmet was produced, who would have worn it, and whether it is a military helmet or not. The closest match I have found online was described as a Chinese made helmet for use in Imperial Japan. This helmet appears to fit the same description, but I consider it to be an unknown as I have no proof that it was used by Japan and no year of manufacture. Photographed in natural daylight. Photos may not accurately represent actual colors. Photos are of actual items you will receive. Please see photos for condition. I can send more photos if needed. Please keep an eye on my other listings to see more rare patches, helmets, and other military collectibles for sale. If you need more pictures, just ask.
