This lovely Japanese Naval Officer’s Sword Belt dates from the World War II Era and has survived in very nice condition. It is constructed of black leather with brass fittings which although the leather shows a bit of very light wear, does remain in healthy condition. The Buckle face wears a beautiful Emblem featuring a cherry blossom and anchor. Still present are the two sword hangers. Interestingly, there is a hand-inscription of the Imperial Navy Officer’s name on the leather backing of the buckle. Overall the adjustable Belt would fit a waist up to about 36 inches. This is a fabulous example of a fine quality Japanese Imperial Naval Officer’s Kai Gunto Sword. It is mounted with a gorgeous and very well made hand-forged blade that wears a cutting edge which measures 27 inches in length. The blade remains in very nice, original condition with just some very minor surface blemishes and continues to proudly don its beautiful actively wavy temper line. The tang is very nicely signed which translates to “Fujiwara Sukekore saku kore”. The hilt and all the lovely gilded superb quality matching fittings also remain in wonderful, original condition and the samé covered scabbard has survived in outstanding condition as well. Still present, is the original brown Tassel which although reflects a bit of age, does remain intact. Overall measuring 40 inches in length. Be sure to add me to your favorites list. This is a rare and seldom encountered Rumanian Naval Officer’s Sword which dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a very nice slightly curved blade that measures 31 1/8 inches in length. The blade is beautifully etched on either side and remains in wonderful, original condition with just some minor surface blemishes and is well marked by the maker Carl Eickhorn Solingen on the ricasso. The guard wears an intricately detailed birdhead pommel with the accentuating detailing extending along the backstrap, and is wonderfully enhanced with a lovely floral motif that frames a roped anchor upon the face of the guard. The guard has also survived in beautiful condition and with much of the original gold wash still brightly present. The hard composite hilt remains very nice as well with the original twisted wire wrap tight and secure. The very attractive scabbard is dressed with beautifully coordinating fittings and although the leather finish is a bit scuffed, does remain in very nice serviceable condition. Early 20th Century US Naval Officer’s Full Dress Cocked Hat/Chapeau, Shoulder Epaulettes, and Carrying Case. Probably for a Lieutenant. According to my research, these are from the early 20th century… Condition: Very nice, with a few loose areas (see photos). 7″ L x 5 1/2″ W x 3 1/2 Fringe Length. Made by The Wm. Measures 19″ total length x 7″ Total Width x 5 1/2 Total Height. With the exception of the areas where black “fur” is rubbed off. Black exterior isn’t metal, but some kind of hard pressed material. Brass corners, hinges, latches. Purplish Velvet interior (see photos). Name on latches is Corbin. Measures 19″ x 8″ x 7. Definitely used, but in good vintage condition.
