Very Nice Japanese Naval Officer Sword Belt Wwii
This lovely Japanese Naval Officer’s Sword Belt dates from the World War II Era and has survived in very nice condition. It is constructed of black leather with brass fittings which although the leather shows a bit of very light wear, does remain in healthy condition. The Buckle face wears a beautiful Emblem featuring a cherry blossom and anchor. Still present are the two sword hangers. Interestingly, there is a hand-inscription of the Imperial Navy Officer’s name on the leather backing of the buckle. Overall the adjustable Belt would fit a waist up to about 36 inches.
