Repainted and reused by Korps Rijkspolitie after the end of the war in 1945. This helmet had been adopted by the army in 1932, see stamp CM1932 in the liner band (Centraal Magazijn, Central Warehouse). Original pre-WW2 shell, liner and chin strap (dark green color from production remains under the dark grey). In very good original condition, beautiful marks. In WW2 the old army helmets were used by various collaborating and civil organizations such as the civil defense. Most helmets used by the National Police after the war came from German war booty and often had their original interior. The helmet was painted in the Rijkpolitie’s dark grey (original paint) and a flaming grenade. Have a good look at the photos and please see my other ads as well.
