Original, solid 10k Gold US Army Major Insignia. Engraved 1937 dedication for Field Artillery. Both are marked BB&B and 10k. Unfortunately, the color did not photograph well; yes, they are gold and look like it in person! Full size, each measuring approximately 1 1/16 high and with a combined total weight of 13.0 grams on a jeweler’s scale. Problems: Missing the separate fastening lugs. Very minor tarnish and wear. Excellent minus condition overall. These are, of course, jewelry made by Bailey Banks & Biddle and the original box is included. The box has a stain on the top and wear around the edges, good minus condition overall. One of the insignia is engraved, FROM OFFICERS 2 BN 108 FA 7-7-37. The other insignia is engraved simply, J. A few years after this time, the 108th Field Artillery, as part of the 28th Division, landed in Normandy (not on D Day) and then participated in the Battle of the Bulge. This is a hobby not a living, so I try to keep it fun, otherwise why do it. _gsrx_vers_526 GS 6.6.6 (526).
