Catalog Fighting Ships by T. Jane (aka famous “Jane’s Fighting Ships”). 1920 edition by Sampson Low, Martson & Co Naval Publishers, London and Edinburgh. Hard cover, 12 ½ x 8 format, 579 pp. The front cover and several advertisement pages in the front are loose, but the binding of the text block is otherwise holding together well. The spine cover is missing. Boards worn at the corners and scuffed on the front. Some of the pages, mostly in the back, are wrinkled and creased. The interior is very clean overall with mild age toning only. There is a lightly sketched caricature portrait of a man and some scribbled notes in pencil throughout the first advertisement pages. The main portion of the book however is nearly pristine: shows no stains, pen or pencil marks, or tears, although few last pages (primarily on the Turkish navy) have wear to the edges. This book is a great resource for a naval historian, collector or model builder.
