Vintage antique Nurnberg beer mug ceramic stein WW1 Imperial German Lowenbrau 1L. Here is your chance to own a very nice ceramic beer mug. This example in honor of the city of Nuremberg, Germany is complete with a Lowenbrau lid that I believe is made from pewter. This is a 1 Liter example and is marked as such. On the underside I see the numbers 1526, as well as L. There is also a stamp of VILLEROY&BOCH – METTLACH “Made in Sarr-Basin” on the underside as well. The lid, while also completely original, may be mated to this mug as there is a break and former repair near the upper part of the handle. There is minimal crazing to the ceramic and it is very nice overall. The piece including the lid handle stands at over 9-1/4″ high while the mug itself is 7-5/8″ tall. Offering a very COOL and RARE Antique Metal Sign advertising “HOO-DYE” Shock Absorbers! The pictures uploaded tell the story. It measures 19 1/2″ tall by 27 3/4″ wide.
