We offer you a rare collection photograph 17th border detachment of the NKVD USSR. January 25, 1925, the date of establishment of the 17th border detachment of the OGPU. The place of deployment of the detachment is the city of Timkovichi, Kopyl district, Minsk region. February 14, 1936 for heroic service in the protection of the western borders of the USSR, the 17th border detachment of the NKVD was awarded the Order of the Red Banner. On January 17, 1939, as a result of the annexation of the Western region of Belarus to the USSR, the 17th Red Banner Timkovichi border detachment of the NKVD of the USSR was redeployed to the city of Brest, where it took under protection a section of the State border along the Western Bug River with a length of 182 km. On June 22, 1941, the 17th border detachment of the NKVD took the first battle in the Brest Fortress, the legendary defense of which for several weeks went down in the history of World War II. Vintage 1930s to mid 1940s Second Sino Japanese War Kaikosha Officers Club Tiger War Trophy Statue. Identified Chinese soldier recipient and identified Japanese Unit. This is an example of a piece of forgotten/unspoken history from Japan. This was given from the Japanese Kaikosha to deserving individuals for their contributions to the war effort against the Chinese. This one was thought to be given for efforts during the occupation and seizing of Manchuria. This was determined by the actions of the unit identified on the chest of the tiger. Empire of Japan’s Kwantung Army invaded Manchuria on 18 September 1931, immediately following the Mukden Incident. This item was found in US Navy veterans estate after his death. I want to dispell some inconsistency people try to say about these items; the main one being that these came in pairs. This is 100% false. These were made for specific individuals and were singular items commemorating acts for Japan. These again are EXTREMELY Rare!!! Approx/Measurements of each book: 9-1/2″ x 6-7/8″. In good-very good exterior and fine interior condition. 4 volumes with the Original Slipcase included! These books appear to be unread, the 4 volumes without slipcase are rubbed more or less and dust stained at top edge. Just traces of storage. The slipcases of the other volumes protected the books well. Internally very clean and smell like new. All pages are complete and tight in the binding! 200-300 photos on plates within 111 picture pages.
