This is a good example of a Post War Police re-issue 1920 German Sword Model 1873. It is mounted with a massive, slightly curved blade that measures 29 3/4 inches in length which remains in very nice condition with only some minor surface stains and does remain in unsharpened condition. The blade is well marked on the ricasso, under the languet, by the maker “ALEX COPPEL SOLINGEN” as well as is dated “80” on the spine. The metal stirrup guard remains in good condition as well and frames a composite grip which remains very healthy and sturdy.
