De la PAIX au MAROC. Created in 1927, by the Spanish Government to commemorate the campaign which in the north of Morocco (the Rif) pitted the Spanish and French troops against the Moroccan tribes raised by Abd El Krim, between July 1, 1925 and July 23, 1927. After the agreement of the French Government, the Spanish Government awarded this medal to the fighters of the units having taken part in this campaign in the Moroccan Rif.
