Gewehr 88 or Judenflinte in German service. This should not be confused with a Mauser Model 1888. The G98 itself was the latest in a line of Mauser rifles that were introduced in the 1890s. The death of Paul Mauser, the war years, Versailles, after the war, new machines added to production, the management, chronicle and much more.. Their designs were built for the German armed forces, and have been exported and licenced to a number of countries in later 19th and early 20th century, as well as being popular civilian firearm. In the late 20th century Mauser continued making sporting and hunting rifles. In the 1990s it became a subsidiary of Rheinmetall. Mauser Jagdwaffen GmbH was split off and continues making rifles, while the Rheinmetal subsidiary, called Mauser-Werke Oberndorf Waffensysteme GmbH made other products for a time before being merged into Rheinmetall Waffe Munition GmbH. Beautiful Pickelhaube helmet of a cavalry officer of the Chilean army, The Republic of Chile was the first country in South America to introduce the Prussian doctrine, the leather of the helmet was in poor condition, so it was restored by a professional saddlery. The helmet corresponds to those used by cavalry officers in the 20s until 1927 exactly. This helmet is a golden opportunity for the pickelhaube collectors of the world, the future owner can polish the leather to give it the vintage shine. Importantly, The plate and spike and chin scales are original. The stars, spine, visor trim and cockade are hight quality reproductions. DO NOT LET THIS CHANCE GO AWAY.

1935 Travel Many Interesting Lands In US Navy Poster Arthur Beaumont USS Houston. Date: 1935 Artist: Beaumont, Arthur Size (in): 42″ x 28″ Size (cm): 106.7 x 71.1 Condition: A- Linen backed: No This rare vintage original poster was issued US Navy in 1935 for recruiting purposes. The poster features an Arthur Beaumont painting of the USS Houston cruiser titled. And highlights the opportunities to travel and see the world that came with enlistment the US Navy. The USS Houston was highly decorated Northampton-class cruiser in the US Navy that had served as flagship of the Asiatic Fleet and later the United States Fleet. She was sunk by the Japanese navy during WWII at the Battle of Sundra Straight on March 1, 1942. This is a rare poster with the lower margin indicating a 1935 publication date. Far fewer posters were produced during the interwar period than during WWI or WWII and tended to emphasize travel and other benefits of enlistment rather than wartime themes.
