It’s about the history of the company, 1811 – 1874, The incorporation of the arms factory, about the youth of Wilhelm and Paul Mauser, Famous achievements; The new Mauser Model 1871 rifle was adopted as the Gewehr 71, or Infanterie-Gewehr 71 M/71; I. 71 was printed on the rifles themselves, The Gewehr 98, or G98, named for 1898, the first year of its manufacture, superseded the earlier Model 1888 Commission Rifle a. Gewehr 88 or Judenflinte in German service. This should not be confused with a Mauser Model 1888. The G98 itself was the latest in a line of Mauser rifles that were introduced in the 1890s. The death of Paul Mauser, the war years, Versailles, after the war, new machines added to production, the management, chronicle and much more.. 240 pages, text and photos. 110 high quality photos in gravure printing. Good exterior and good interior. Wrappers soiled and rubbed. Rear panel, top edge and rear endpaper ink stained, front endpaper and occasionally page margins at top slightly ink stained. Occasionally finger stained at margins. Ex-library copy (stamp on front endpaper) of the Kriegsdamm school (Kriegsdamm Schule) in Rottweil (Germany). All pages are complete and tight in the binding. Approx/Measurements: 11-1/2″ x 8-1/4″ 2.2 lbs. Published by House Mauser. Their designs were built for the German armed forces, and have been exported and licenced to a number of countries in later 19th and early 20th century, as well as being popular civilian firearm. In the late 20th century Mauser continued making sporting and hunting rifles. In the 1990s it became a subsidiary of Rheinmetall. Mauser Jagdwaffen GmbH was split off and continues making rifles, while the Rheinmetal subsidiary, called Mauser-Werke Oberndorf Waffensysteme GmbH made other products for a time before being merged into Rheinmetall Waffe Munition GmbH. The Mauser name has also sometimes been licensed by other companies.

One original Mexican model 1910 (will laso fit the model 1924) mauser rifle bayonet with scabbard and leather frog, bayonet is marked SIMSON & Co. SUHL, blade is very good, not sharpened has factory edge, release works smoothly, handles are good, no dings, pommel looks like it was used to drive a picket pin, or tent stake or two. Scabbard is good, still in the black, no major dings, a few minor ones though, needs a cleaning, frog is good, this bayonet is for the 7mm mauser caliber mexican model 1910 or 1924 rifle, excellent opportunity to upgrade a wallhanger, see my other listings for more Mexican model 1936 and 1910 mauser short rifle parts and accessories.
One original brazilian model 1908 mauser rifle (08/34 carbine) long (21 inch) bayonet with scabbard, and leather frog, Bayonet is in good condition, blade is very good, handles are good, release works smoothly, scabbard is leather with steel fittings, frog is in good condition, bayonet is serialed 2028 on backside of quillon. Yugo BT3 M1924B Rebarreled 8mm Steyr M1912 Mauser Rifle Sword Bayonet 1924? This bayonet was made by Yugoslavia to fit Steyr M1912 Mauser rifles rebarreled to 8mm to be similar to the FN 1924 short rifle. It does NOT fit the M1924 short rifle. There are some deep dents on the scabbard and packing grease remnants inside. The serial numbers don’t match. Marked BT3 and MO? . 1924? On the ricasso.
