Imperial German, M1895 Prussian Reserve Officers Pioneer Battalion Helmet Plate
An original, 1895 Prussian Reserve Officer, Pioneer Battalion Helmet Plate. Very fine quality with silver gilt finish. There is modest wear on the contact points and a dark spot on the lower right side of the eagle. The eagle has mounting holes for a reserve cross but there is np evidence that one was ever mounted. The threaded mounting posts along with the original washers and nuts are in place. From a 1960’s-70’s imperial Collection. Model 1926 Cavalry Officer Training Saddle, Very Good Condition, No Reserve
Original model 1926 Officer training saddle in overall very good condition. All sewn seams are solid. All 6 billets are in place. Nice original saddle that shows actual use but is not all beat up. All 4 cantle bag D rings in place. Saddle needs stirrup leathers, the very common 1912 stirrups and a cinch to complete. WW1 HUNGARIAN ORDER OF MERIT GRAND CROSS SET w/Breast Star NICE! Again, a very nice order awarded only a handful of years. This Grand Cross Set is most likely from the 20’s. The neck order displays nicely from the obverse as there is only a shallow chip on the 12o’clock arm as pictured. The reverse has seen better days, but it can certainly be said that the piece was obviously worn. The breast star is in fantastic condition with the only issue being the catch has finally succumbed to stress. Easily fixed by any decent jeweler. I’ll leave that to you.
