PRE-WWII German Police Shako hat in like new condition, maker marked, appears to not have had laces installed in liner. This is a pre-war hat that is of a RARE variety. The hat has a leather body with double screened vents, metal visors. A Serbian Order of St. Sava Grand Cross Set. Full length of original sash. Is in very good condition for its age. Grand Cross set of insignia, green robes, Saint holding a book. In silver gilt and enamels, 50x92mm (including crown suspension), unmarked, complete with full length of original sash with large rosette. Minor enamel damage on the lower arm and on the right arm. Multi-piece construction, silver gilt with blue and white enameled cross, on an eight-pointed star base. One small thin chipping evident in the blue enamels on the upper arm and one small thin chipping evident in the blue enamels on the lower arm. A small defect of the star’s lower silver beam. WWI-WWII Military Original Cavalry officer sword/sable frog, stamped, and made from saddle leather. Cavalry sword was carried in a hanger attached to horse saddle, but since cavalry sword also belonged to dress uniform of cavalry soldier, they also needed to be carried attached to soldiers belt when needed Can be used for carrying sword attached to belt. One of the straps is a little ripped….. Please see the last picture. A remarkably well preserved piece of WWI / WWII saddlery here, one that I’m sure that would be of interest to cavalry enthusiasts. Part is in very good condition for its age……… This item could have some imperfections and wear because of use and the age of more than 70 years. But this enhances its historical value.
