Printed in blue-print style on thin paper, this chart illustrates the detailed internal structure of a Japanese battleship modeled on the Nagato-class (Nagato & Mutsu) – the pride of the Imperial Navy at that time. Every compartment is meticulously labeled: gun turrets, officers’ quarters, boiler rooms, ammunition storage, even kitchens and signal decks. Created during the post-Washington Naval Treaty era, when Japan was forced to limit its fleet size, this diagram served both as an educational tool and as public naval propaganda, showing the advanced technology and discipline of the Empire’s Navy. Here is a very rare piece of US Navy history. This is a collection of design blueprints from when the Navy was creating their first parachutes. There are eight blueprints and a 1925 report on the US Army method of packing parachutes. The Navy mandated chutes to be worn beginning in 1924. Some of the blueprints include handwritten changes along with a signature. The blueprints have been folded and show some wear including small tears and discoloration. Included is a canvas pouch. Very rare WW 2 explosion proof clock. Removed from the Joliet Army Ammunition Plant in Elwood, IL during demolition in 1998. Built circa 1938 and opened in 1940. Over 50000 acre facility. Clock measures 17.5″ in diameter X 7″ deep overall. The clock ring with glass face is a 4″ projection and mechanical housing off the back of the clock has a 3″ projection. The glass face has a 13 diameter. 110 V 3 Watts 60 cycles. Also included in the sale is a 44 page mechanical blueprint of Joliet Army Arsenal Plant. Two ironic notes This is a JAAP ClocK but US made In the movie The Blues Brothers Jake was being released out of Joliet State Prison and Elwood was picking up Jake.
