Up for sale is pre-owned. Crossbody shoulder folding case / bag. That was designed to carry maps and/or documents. It is constructed from several pieces of stiff. Closure by 3 metal snap fastener buttons; white the bag is open it has 1 inner compartment, divided in two parts and covered with transparent material that probably is Bakelite; it has non-adjustable leather strap. On the inner side of 3 pieces of. There are 4 quality control stamps with surnames of QC personnel, month, year (1928 and 1929), factory name. I cannot say for sure whether this bag was designed for air force or army officers or both of them. It looks like this bag wasn’t use at all otherwise and due to exposure to the elements it would look absolutely different by its condition and in witness thereof one can clearly see that the inner side of the leather looks like a new one. Relatively well preserved and in good to very good condition despite its age. The place of deployment of the detachment is the city of Timkovichi, Kopyl district, Minsk region. February 14, 1936 for heroic service in the protection of the western borders of the USSR, the 17th border detachment of the NKVD was awarded the Order of the Red Banner. On January 17, 1939, as a result of the annexation of the Western region of Belarus to the USSR, the 17th Red Banner Timkovichi border detachment of the NKVD of the USSR was redeployed to the city of Brest, where it took under protection a section of the State border along the Western Bug River with a length of 182 km. On June 22, 1941, the 17th border detachment of the NKVD took the first battle in the Brest Fortress, the legendary defense of which for several weeks went down in the history of World War II. These m36 types were manufactured till Winter war (probably this particular backpack was used in this war) After Winter war Soviet authorities issued. Simpler and less heavy. Badge of the USSR “Fighter of the Red Guard and the Red Partisan”. Established by the Leningrad Regional Executive Committee on October 23, 1932. I n 1932, the USSR celebrated the 15th anniversary of the October Revolution. To commemorate this event, a new award was introduced – the badge “Fighter of the Red Guard and the Red Partisan”. In another way, the sign was called “15th anniversary of October”. In the early 30s, in Leningrad, divisions of former Red Army soldiers and Red partisans. Probably, the badge of honor, in most cases, was awarded to those who were listed in this unit and took an active part in various events. The decision to award the badge was apparently made by the Leningrad Council of People’s Deputies. After the civil war, many former Red Guards and Red partisans lived in Leningrad. Participants in the revolution and civil war. At the beginning of 1930, they turned to the city committee of the party with a request to allow them to form a division from participants in revolutionary battles.
