Badge of the USSR “Fighter of the Red Guard and the Red Partisan”. Established by the Leningrad Regional Executive Committee on October 23, 1932. I n 1932, the USSR celebrated the 15th anniversary of the October Revolution. To commemorate this event, a new award was introduced – the badge “Fighter of the Red Guard and the Red Partisan”. In another way, the sign was called “15th anniversary of October”. In the early 30s, in Leningrad, divisions of former Red Army soldiers and Red partisans. Probably, the badge of honor, in most cases, was awarded to those who were listed in this unit and took an active part in various events. The decision to award the badge was apparently made by the Leningrad Council of People’s Deputies. After the civil war, many former Red Guards and Red partisans lived in Leningrad. Participants in the revolution and civil war. At the beginning of 1930, they turned to the city committee of the party with a request to allow them to form a division from participants in revolutionary battles. It became known as the Leningrad Red Guard Division. Only those who had the documents of a former partisan or Red Guard were enrolled in it on a voluntary basis. About 2,000 signs were issued, however, after the “Stalin Repressions” of the 30s and the “Great Patriotic War of 1941-45″, most of the awarded people died, and the signs were heaped up for remelting. No more than 70 pieces have survived to this day. Size: 46.7×41.8mm. Weight: 22.16; Sterling silver 916. Enamel white opalescent, red, Screw bronze. Very Nice Rare Italian Partisan Lieutenant Uniform, Tunic And Breeches
Exceedingly RARE to find in any condition, this is a very nice example of an Italian Partisan Lieutenant Uniform that includes both the Tunic and Breeches. The Partisans fought the Germans and Italian Army in 44 and 45 in Northern Italy and this particular Uniform is a Pre-War Design in its chocolate colored wool as well as includes the handmade insignia which was unique to the Partisans. The Tunic reflects “war sweat stains” most especially along the waistline beneath where the belt would have fit, otherwise remains in very nice, healthy condition with all the stitching still tightly in place and all the buttons still securely attached. The Tunic measures from shoulder seam to shoulder seam 16 1/2 inches across and from the top edge of the collar to the hemline 26 inches in length. The Breeches have also survived in very nice condition with all their buttons still attached and all the stitching nicely intact. The waistline measures about 32 inches and overall they measure from the top of the waistline to the breeches hemlines 28 inches in length. Truly a Rare Find Indeed!
