On September 18, 1934, the newspaper “Pravda”? . 258 (6144) reported that the commission of the Presidium of the Central Executive Committee of the USSR for the consideration and approval of breastplates approved the Metrostroy badge “Udarnik of the Kaganovich Campaign”. The image and conditions for obtaining the badge have been published. An indispensable condition for obtaining a badge is working without defects, systematically fulfilling the work plan day after day and passing the technical minimum. In case of violation of these obligations, the badge may be taken away by decision of the meeting of shock workers. There are no state privileges associated with receiving a badge. About 7,000 thousand badges were produced by the Metallurgical artist Artel of the Metallurgical Union. On September 21, 1934, the newspaper “Pravda”? . 261 (6147) wrote that in Sokol-National Park of Culture and Recreation named after. Bubnov, a 5,000-strong meeting of metro builders took place, dedicated to the October Campaign named after L. The best shock brigades of Kraevsky, Kholod, Yaremchuk, Ustinova and individual shock troops were given campaign badges. This is a beautifully designed and scarce badge. It boasts full enamel with visible age spots. There is moderate to light wear on the plating. The reverse shows excellent toning from age. While the threaded post is bent it appears to be full length with heavy wear on the machine threads. The screw plate is original to the piece and denotes this badge’s issue number of #4913. The screw plate is stamped with HUD-MET. / MOSCOW / METIZSOYUZ. The screw plate threads on without struggle and does not have excess play when on the post. This listing is for a very nice 1932 United States Navy Good Conduct Medal Named. It has a USS R-17 Bar. The back of the medal is named USS New York with the CSC#. The back of the 1932 bar is named. RARE 1920’s NAMED US NAVY PHOTO ALBUM ERNEST M. FLAHERTY USS WEST VIRGINA. Flaherty retired to Sarasota, FL where I live. Flaherty’s Album with Signed Photos of Admiral Richard Byrd from the famous Antarctica Expedition see. Flaherty was a shipmate and good friend of Admiral Byrd’s. There are NO PHOTOS of Admiral Byrd in this Album. Also, photos of friends and girlfriends. USS West Virginia, a 32,600-ton Colorado class battleship built at Newport News, Virginia, was commissioned in December 1923, the last battleship completed for the United States Navy for nearly two decades. During the 1920s and 1930s, she served in the U. Fleet, taking part in “Fleet Problems” and other exercises as part of the continuing effort to develop tactics and maintain the Navy’s combat readiness. With much of the rest of the Fleet, she deployed to New Zealand and Australia in 1925 in an important demonstration of the Navy’s trans-Pacific strategic “reach”. West Virginia’s base was moved to Pearl Harbor in 1940, and she was there on 7 December 1941, when the Japanese attacked with an overwhelming force of carrier aircraft. In that raid, the battleship was hit by two bombs and at least seven torpedoes, which blew huge holes in her port side. Skillful damage control saved her from capsizing, but she quickly sank to the harbor bottom. More than a hundred of her crew were lost. Salvaged and given temporary repairs at the Pearl Harbor Navy Yard, in April 1943 West Virginia steamed to the West Coast for final repair and modernization at the Puget Sound Navy Yard. 14″-15″ wide depending on where you measure. The Leather Album Cover is 14″ wide, but the pages extend to 15″ wide. Condition: Album itself is in very poor shape. The Leather is dirty & album areas are stained. Looks like the entire back of the album is missing. Photos are still in good condition. My Consignor did not realize the value of this album and tore out photos he thought were important to sell individually. So, many photos are missing & many pages are torn and photos have been removed. My Consignor no longer knows where the removed photos are located. Pages of the album are lose, falling out, detached, and missing. Any defects not mentioned but visible in the pictures will be considered as “described”. 1938, ARMY LEVEL PRIZE, BRONZE, RIFLE COMPETITION, INFANTRY, NAMED, w/RESEARCH. This 1938 Infantry Army Level Prize for Rifle Competition was awarded to SGT John B. Morrissey, Company I, 107. SGT Morrissey was born on 30 January, 1908, Pocatello, Idaho. SGT Morrissey enlisted on 21 January 1936. When John Bacon Morrissey was born on January 30, 1908, in Pocatello, Idaho, his father, Harry, was 30 and his mother, Florence, was 23. He had two sons and two daughters with Anna R Morrissey. He died on February 3, 1982, in Aberdeen, Maryland, at the age of 74. These interwar Army marksmanship badges are highly sought after among collectors. We will include printed copies of the research artifacts. This Army level prize consists of three parts. Top bar that indicated either Army level or Corps / department level competition and served as a brooch to affix the assembled device to the uniform. The top bar is squared ended and ornamented with oak leaves, and was always worn with this bronze clasp and an enameled planchet prior to WWII. The top bar or brooch is a pin back with a functional rotating clasp closure. The second portion consists of an intermediate clasp of crossed arms to indicate the type of weapon that was used to earn the award rifle, pistol, or, soon thereafter, automatic weapons. In this case it has crossed rifles. The third, lower piece is a planchet, that when enameled, told the arm or the type of service, in this case, blue for Infantry. The central design is a bow and a pair of arrows. The planchet consists of three concentric designs. 0625 in diameter, displays a compound bow and two crossed arrows, a symbol of marksmanship. Outside of that is a center ring, 015 in width, which displays 13 stars. An oak-leaf wreath executed in bronze surrounds the entire design, making the planchet 1-1/2 in width. The combatant arms had bronze stars with the ring enameled in blue for Infantry.

Low numbered, boxed Yangtze Service Medal. Numbered 1163 on the rim, and on the box. The box is slightly damaged. Named US Navy Good Conduct Medal. Dated 24 December 1928. The sailors name, and USS Cincinnati are engraved on the obverse. 1933, and 1937 bars are pinned on the drape. The suspension ring is removed. You will receive the item in the photos.
