This medal was awarded by the Annamese court for meritorious services rendered in the promotion and development of agricultural matters. It is structured in three classes (Commander, Officer and Knight). The square design is bordered by a blue Greek key design. The center consists of a stylized design of yellow rice grains and green leaves with a red sun set in the background. The reverse design is similar, but bears four Chinese characters, which read BESTOWED BY THE EMPEROR above and BRILLIANT AGRICULTURE below. ORDER OF AGRICULTURAL MERIT. I-Tinh / Ordre du Mérite Agricole three classes – established March 2, 1936. Services rendered to agriculture. Squarish badge, with cravat or suspension ribbon. Around the edge a Greek key design in blue, with below a partly rounded protrusion and above a square cut Greek key pyramidal design leading to the suspension link, and in the center square a stylized design of yellow rice grain and green leaves against a setting red sun, with wavy lines going out at an angle perhaps representing hills or clouds in a colored area, with wavy horizontal lines below perhaps representing paddy water. Vtg US Pre-WWII Equipment Bag. Vintage US pre-WWII equipment bag that measures about 30″ x 20″ at the longest points. It is a very large duffel type bag with buckles on the back and straps that go over the top. The bag is very dirty with lots of stains and spots all over. A lot of the stains look like water stains or possibly mud stains, but it is basically covered with them. The hardware is a bit discolored and blackened and the bottom left strap is coming loose a bit at the top seams. Please look through photos to get a good idea of overall condition. Hasegawa and marked Embroiderer Coat of Arms and Portrait Painting on Silk, Yokohama, Japan. Excellent condition, protected by the paper backing and edge-covering.
