SEE MORE ITEMS HERE. ONE OF A KIND. ANTIQUE, MONUMENTAL (90 LBS), IMPOSING AND EXCEPTIONAL ANTI AIRCRAFT CANNON SIGHT FOR A 76.5 MM. AMMUNITION WITH COMMANDS MADE BY C. GOERZ DURING 1920 S´. Goerz supplied optics for the German Army and Navy. & sophisticated anti aircraft sight with commands has been made for a WWI cannon (probably Skoda) by C. Goerz (a German company) in Bratislava. Common anti aircraft weapons used the classical and basic spider round sight, or small optical sights very easy to find. However, this magnificent sight (with commands to operate the canon) that weighs about 90 lbs, belonged, with no doubt, to a very important, large and accurate German or Czech weapon made for the Argentinian Army. Because the rarity of this big caliber (7.65 centimeters). In the first picture, you can compare the size of this sight with a 354 ml. Can of Coke to conclude it is really huge. This apparatus is complete, in working condition (all commands are working) and all lenses and prismas are in excellent condition, so vision is very clear, with minimal points of dust. You can even see its reticles. According to my research it has been made around 1925. The three feet round iron base has been made to show the apparatus (so it not part of the original instrument). As you can see on pictures, this sight with commands has two oculars and each ocular has several filters. It is in excellent original antique condition with slight signals of use consistent with age. A really historical and magnificent military apparatus for demanding collectors. Overall height including base is 72 centimeters. Height excluding base is 44 centimeters. Overall long is 62 centimeters. Height of base is 28 centimeters. Diameter of base is 34 centimeters. Very safely and securely wooden box professionally made. THANKS FOR YOUR VISIT. Up for sale is this rare “yard long” photograph showing part of the U. Army 33rd Infantry in the Panama Canal Zone stationed at Fort Clayton, dated April 1927 – Capt. All original period photograph that measures approx. 29 1/4 by 9 3/4 inches, typically referred to as a yard long image. A few small bumps and little tears around the edges, small pinholes in the corners, small piece of the top right corner missing.
