I’m seeing these described as world War 1 and also as World War 2 so those more knowledgeable will know for sure. The helmet does have age appropriate wear the green paint. Condition as seen in photos. With all jewelry with stones, stones sizes and amounts are figured by calculation. (for an accurate total, you would have to remove the stones from the settings) During measurements there is some degree of calculation, so it is an approximation. In regards to our time pieces watches, clocks etc. We verify the condition when they leave our office and will be stated as working or not working. All working watches may still need to be professionally cleaned/serviced in order to keep time accurately. Each of our time pieces are vintage and used to a different degree. Please ask before you pay. Size ca 57,5 cm. Original, very rare Belgian produced M20 Adrian helmet. An e xtremely rare model in very good condition. Original just post-WW1 helmet type: front and rear visor in one piece! . Probably a Jules Fonson production, but marked KB in the rear visor and no Fonson marking. Original 1920’s black paint for the Gendarmerie or police troops. (they had horizon blue before) Original shell, crest, badge, chin strap and liner (these liners differ from the M15 liners, because of the white webbing liner band). Nice army number inside. The lion head coat of arms belongs to the kingdom of the Belges. The Belgian Gendarmerie or police troops were not as you think for riot control. I wartime they had to defend bridges and other vital infrastructure, and so they were in the first line to offend the enemy and took their role in the front lines. Hardly seen in this condition. Originaler, sehr seltener, in Belgien hergestellter M20 Adrian-Helm. Ein äußerst seltenes Modell in sehr gutem Zustand. Originaler Helmtyp aus der Nachkriegszeit: Vorder- und Hintervisier aus einem Stück! Vermutlich eine Produktion von Jules Fonson, aber auf der Heckscheibe mit “KB” markiert und ohne Fonson-Markierung. Originaler schwarzer Lack aus den 1920er Jahren für die Gendarmerie oder Polizeitruppen. (vorher hatten sie “Horizon Blue”) Originale Schale, Wappen, Abzeichen, Kinnriemen und Innenfutter (diese Innenfutter unterscheiden sich von den M15-Innenfuttern durch das weiße Gewebeband). Schöne Armeenummer im Inneren. Das Löwenkopfwappen gehört zum Königreich der Belgier. Die belgischen Gendarmerie- oder Polizeitruppen dienten nicht, wie man denkt, der Aufstandsbekämpfung. Während des Krieges mussten sie Brücken und andere lebenswichtige Infrastrukturen verteidigen, und so standen sie in der ersten Reihe, wenn es darum ging, den Feind zu beleidigen, und übernahmen ihre Rolle an der Front. La gendarmerie belge ou les troupes de police n’étaient pas ce qu’on pense pour la lutte anti-émeute. En temps de guerre, ils devaient défendre les ponts et autres infrastructures vitales. Probablemente una producción de Jules Fonson, pero marcado KB en la visera trasera y sin marca Fonson. Pintura negra original de los años 20 para la Gendarmería o tropas policiales. (antes tenían azul horizonte) Carcasa, escudo, insignia, correa para la barbilla y forro originales (estos forros se diferencian de los forros M15 debido a la banda de forro de cincha blanca). Bonito número del ejército en el interior. El escudo de armas con cabeza de león pertenece al reino de los Belgas. La gendarmería belga o las tropas de policía no participaron como se cree en el control de disturbios. En tiempos de guerra tenían que defender puentes y otras infraestructuras vitales, por lo que estaban en la primera línea para ofender al enemigo y asumieron su papel en las líneas del frente. M1926 French/Peruvian M1934 Adrian Helmet for the Guardia Civil of Peru. This is a very interesting helmet used by the Peruvian Guardia Civil (National Police). You can read a lot of history in this helmet by the markings inside. First you notice in white a marking of PNS 226. The 226 mark is also scribed below the white paint. I think this must be a Peruvian Police unit number because how visible it is? Under the rim is where it really starts to get interesting and it may lead to the helmet’s original life. Under the rim there’s carving that has been painted over. You can see a name of the original owner, VARGAS, scratched twice under the rim. A number, 219 is carved in three places also under the rim. I think this was originally a French M1926 helmet, used by a man named VARGAS and he was in a unit of the French Army that was numbered 219. Peru bought French made helmets to supply their army in 1934 and that’s when it was painted over to the Greenish Blue Color of the Guardia Civil. The front cockade is in the red and white sunburst of Peru. The condition of the helmet is obvious from the pictures. There’s surface rust, chips and nicks, a couple of dents, and no liner. Four liner rivets are missing, but four remain. All the comb rivets are intact and solid. The one dent is the worst, just to the right of the comb. It’s about an inch and a half long by an eighth of an inch deep. The helmet is super solid and could be restored easily with a new liner. It’s a large size as you can tell by the picture of it on my head. I wear a 7 and 3/4 helmet. This item is in the category “Collectibles\Militaria\1919-38\Original Period Items”.
