ORIG’L & VG Condition 1930’s Air Corps Silver Bullion Pilot’s Wings SALE PRICED! These are an ORIGINAL BULLION thread silver wings or qualification badge awarded to Air Corps pilots upon their graduation from their flight training during the 1930’s. The wings are in VERY GOOD overall condition, with minor signs of tarnishing, and show no indications of having been previously sewn on a pilot’s blouse. Here’s a chance for the aviation collector or re-enactor to obtain a great pair of bullion wings for the collection or restoration of a whipcord blouse of the period for little more than I paid 30 years ago. PLEASE NOTE: The insignia will be mailed in a first class No. I’m a militaria collector like you and I do this as a sideline to my own collecting. Nonetheless, I’ll handle your order in a business-like and professional manner. Thanks for your business! 13 1/4″ x 10″ photo of U. Bass B-2 shown in Pearl Harbor, T. With working parties of her sailors fore and aft of the conning tower c 1930’s. This colorized (the method used prior to color photo film) b & w photo is in its original frame and glass (showing a lot of air bubbles in the glass). Photographer Tai Sing Loo’s signature is partially visible in the lower left corner of the photo which was evidently cropped when this photo was framed 90 +/- years ago. Tai Sing Loo was the premier photographer for the U. The shadow running across the top is simply a condition of the overhead lighting; it is not part of the photo.
Hand made and engraved SILVER cigarette case, copper on silver signed by the Japanese made artist on the back. Presented to a Japanese Officer in the 1930s. Cigarette Case & Cap Badge.
Although in theory it could be issued to a Border Guard of State Security trooper of any rank, the majority of the recipients were probably officers. The last item to note is the orientation of the flag pole strings near the top being looped toward the center of the badge not just up and over the top of the flags like other early stamped examples.
1930’S NORTHERN STAMP CO.
1930’s Military Airship Pilot, full size, marked, perhaps “yj” or “ph” (depending on how you view the Hallmark) in a Pentagon and sterling. This is a lovely pattern from the era of flying balloons and airships. This item weighs 0.7 oz. Please consider viewing my other listings and adding me to your “favorites” list as I will be listing many more interesting and unusual items in the future-particularly wings.
ESTATE FIND, Made in the USA. Neck is straight, does have some paint loss, sounds very nice although I do not really know how to play, all knobs are tight, no cracks or separation. Please see all pics for specs and overall condition, thanks for looking! I did some research online and read that during war these dropped to the battlefield with a parachute and distributed to the battlefield soldiers to boost morale during downtime.
