I’m really proud to introduce this very rare example of history and war – on of the first soviet gas masks GP-2. Unique looking and very rare nowadays, extremely hard to find. This one is a first type (early issue) of GP-2 with the eye-lenses attached to the mask with the tape and not stitched as in a later issue of 1930s. The mask made from canvas and leather, head straps made from fabric and are in bad condition due to long storage. In few places (please see pictures), the face part still in very good condition and there is only some minor tear and rust from storage. It will be a real proud and a top-shelf item for any gas mask collector, or ww2 military collector. Well worth of investing as well as this model is extremely rare on the market. This is an extremely nice example of a Japanese Army NCO Sword, Type 95 which does wear matching numbers. It is mounted with a brass guard and a cast aluminum hilt painted to resemble the Officer’s pattern with ALL of the original bright, clean paint still present. The machine made blade measures 26 3/8 inches in length and has survived in superb condition with only some old dried grease. The MATCHING beautiful green lacquered metal scabbard has only some very minor light scuffs, otherwise remains near perfect in its condition as well. Overall measuring 38 1/8 inches in length. POLAND POLISH REGIMENTAL CIGARETTE CASE, STERLING with hallmarks. 5.8 ounces, 3 by 4 inches. Warsaw Palace and large 2 by 2.5 inch TOPOR coat of arms. A superb example of Polish jewelry workmanship. An award to an officer on November 4th 1933 by his commanding officer for outstanding performance of military duty which did not merit a decoration. The inscription reads, NAGRODA DOWODCY KWO POLSIE, 4. Some of these cigarette cases were also give out during regimental award ceremonies, returning to the reserves or other events commemorating a major event pertaining to the recipient. ARTIFACT: This is a very rare Polish 111th Fighter Squadron Enlisted Mans badge from the 1930s. Badge is a convex disc with a background of stripes and stars featuring an enlisted mans cap crossed by two Polish farm implements used for fighting at center. ATTACHMENT: Brass backing disc. This is a very nice example of a Japanese Shin Gunto Sword carried by an Army Officer during World War II. It is mounted with an ancestral, streamline signed KOTO blade that wears a cutting edge of 26 3/4 inches in length. The blade has survived in beautiful polished condition with a very nice temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The tang wears one hole and although difficult to make out, possibly reads? All the nice quality fittings also remain very nice as does the metal scabbard which remains absolutely perfect in its condition. Still present, is a lovely field grade red and brown Tassel that remains very nice as well. Overall, the Sword measures 41 1/8 inches in length. Be sure to add me to your favorites list. Kulinsky “Russian Edge Weapons” Vol 1 Pg. 152 but the absolute majority of these swords were made before revolution and have Imperial marks (often grinded). It is indeed extremely rare to find Soviet made M1881. The sword is solid, no loose parts, no blade/guard/grip movement, the blade has some rust, cracks free grip, the wooden scabbard scratches, damaged leather over the wood but nothing major, very solid overall.
