It features the large red meat ball that is adorned with beautiful Japanese inscriptions. Overall it has survived in very nice condition with only some staining and a little mothing. This is a nice example of a Japanese Army Officer’s Shin Gunto Sword that dates from the World War II Era. It is mounted with a hand-forged blade which wears a cutting edge that measures 26 3/4 inches in length. The blade remains healthy with some minor surface blemishes and a few tiny nicks to the cutting edge, nevertheless is in nice condition and boasts a lovely large straight temper line that extends to the tip on either side. The well signed tang wears two characters which translate to ” MASAYASU “. The hilt and all the fittings remain nice. The green lacquered scabbard remains nice as well with just some minor scuffs. Very good condition and guaranteed original pre WWII German military P08 Luger holster that is clearly maker marked OTTO SINDEL BERLIN on the back and dated 1934. This rare holster would have been issued with the K date Luger pistols. Also has a Waffenamt WaA94 marking on the back. Leather is soft and supple with some normal wear. Stitching is nice and tight except for some slipping on the tool pouch under the flap. Holster is all complete including the distinctive cleaning rod slot and flap under the main flap. A very rare holster that will make an excellent addition to your collection.
