I took this ensemble in trade on some Rare insignia. Everything on the Tunic Hat and pants are 1920 period originals. The tunic is Depot marked in the sleeve and is size 4 S. The EGA devices have been on it so long that they are indented about half way through the collar see scan. The pants are depot marked and stamped size 2 M and are made of some of the heaviest wool I have ever felt. The white dress belt and buckle are correct for the 1920 period also. The hat is the very rare 1922 pattern with a correct 1920 Pattern EGA attached. This Visor Hat is shown in Roger Benders Book Equipping-The Corp because of its rare nature. The Tunic, Pants, and the Belt are all named to a man named S. Cohen and the Visor Hat is named to J. This is not unusual because everything was Government owned including the EGAs and were reissued as long as they were not damaged. The tunic pants and hat all have light moth tracking but no holes that I could find. The hat sweat band has a section with stitching missing but still is complete and not in need of repair. The Marine Corps Brevet medal was considered to be the equivalent of the Navy Cross although in precedence it ranks just behind the Medal of Honor. This USMC officer sword was made by the Lilley-Ames Co. Columbus OH and Retailed by The C. New London OH about 1938. I can date it because it has the phenolic grip and slotted head screws. Before WWII USMC swords were only assembled in the USA. The blade of the very good condition sword is twenty-eight inches long. Look at the pictures and ask your questions. This is a 100% original USMC Officers Dress Uniform named to Karl F. Included in the lot is his complete dress uniform. Umlor shows up on the WW1 96th and 83rd company rosters and looks to have been with the 6th Marines throughout the entire war. In September 1918 he was commissioned to 2nd Lt. The group is as I got it. I added the Sam Brown belt and the collar Egas. The Sam brown belonged to LtGen EA Craig (belt marked) who was award the Navy Cross in WW2. As stated I added the collar Egas. They are marked Meyers and are clutch back. The cover is as nice as they get. It does have a 10k marked ega. I do not see and mouthing on the cover trousers or blouse. There is a name tag in the blouse. This uniform is mannequin ready. I will also include some of his records (copies) that came with the group. A very rare item and a must have for the WW1 Marine Corps collector. Do not miss out on this rare opportunity. This is a 100% original WW1 vets medal grouping. Roster shows that he served in the Sixth Marines and that he was wounded in France. The GCM is not named but it is numbered. The association medals are amazing. The cool thing is the membership card which is the only one I have ever seen. I have had this in my collection for a long time and it is guaranteed original. This ORIGINAL, interwar period, USN Naval Aviator ring is 10K gold and hallmarked Harcourt Louisville. The item is size 10. One side of the ring carries the letters “PNAS” which may or may not be Pensacola NAS. The ring is dated 1928 and inscribed H.
