Harness SADDLE and Breast COLLAR M1927 Machine Gun Cart and 37mm Gun. Infantry attached weapons, not cavalry used. Saddle is complete as seen in pictures. Pins holding arch to pad have been replaced by longer rods with eyes, are easier to remove and replace than originals. Cart shafts pass thru loops suspended from saddle. Top connecting arch is steel with a bronze finish. One pad has seam damage along bottom, see pictures. Made of heavy harness leather, one strap is marked US with faded out JQMD and year date. COLLAR is complete with Neck STRAP. Collar has some broken threads which show when collar is laid flat, in the in-use position does no show. Collar has an added leather tab with a large brass letter D (company). No other markings on collar. This may have been issued to D Company 11th Regiment of Infantry as some other pieces of MG harness in the same lot are marked to 11th Infantry. See pictures for details and condition. Overall condition of set is good, sound, showing use, not fragile.
